Focusing On Sisterhood Through Reading
Sista Talk Book Club was founded on June 9, 2004 in Atlanta, GA. We meet monthly, in the Metro Atlanta area. The book selections are chosen by the members and that member facilitates the discussion for that month.
Mission statement: To grow as women and make connections with other women as we stimulate our minds. We plan to have meaningful discussions that will intrigue others.
Vision statement: To form meaningful relationships with other women through reading.
Expectations: While commitment is important, we understand that everyone cannot make every meeting. We hope that you will, however, be able to discuss all books with the group. Meetings will be held once a month in an area agreed upon by the group. The book selections will be a collaboration of all the member’s choices.
During meetings: We would like for you to be a facilitator of the discussion on the books that you choose. Please completely and carefully read the selection before the meeting.
